:: Unimaginable wealth undoubtedly awaits!January 28, 2007

An extract (above) from a letter received recently by the t&p editorial collective, which caused us to drift unanimously into reverie…
“Early retirement to a vacation property in the south of France! Nothing extravagant of course, until we know the precise amount to be remitted. Three or four bedrooms, a modest library — a few thousand well-chosen volumes should suffice. A swimming pool might be nice, and a terrace with a view down to a rocky bay, a secluded beach; a dozen olive trees, cicadas. Naturally there would be a village just a short bicycle ride away: a weekly market, a boulangerie, and a good café with a few tables waiting in a plane tree’s shade.”
I think I’ll avoid the mailman for the next few months — what point would there be in prematurely popping such a pleasant bubble?
