:: Crayola
February 29, 2004

These days the street corner florists are featuring tulips at bargain prices. The day before Valentine’s Day they were two bunches for just $5, taxes in. Buckets of bright blossoms arranged in their primary ranks upon the sidewalk, shouting out their shades of purple, yellow, red, peach, and orange. It reminds me of the pleasure felt when cracking open a new box of Crayola crayons, the whole world looking like a fresh, blank page.
