They say that man cannot improve upon nature. I offer as evidence to the contrary the nifty green plastic straws which florists have invented, and which they routinely supply with each Gerber daisy. One simply slips the straw over the stem, slide it all the way to the bloom and the daisy perks up, no longer hanging its head in (unnatural) modesty…
Can a version of Viagra for past-their-prime vegetables be far behind?
